GRANT AWARDED - Morecambe Hawk YFC
The 3R Foundation recently awarded £250 to Morecambe Hawk YFC for a folding mini goal and 9 x footballs for their 4-6 year olds Saturday morning football club.
Morecambe Hawks FC is a community football club based at Heysham Mossgate Community Centre.

They provide opportunities for children age 4-16 to play football through weekly training sessions and participation in the local Service to Youth League accredited by the Football Association.
Last year, a Saturday morning football club was established to provide boys and girls aged 4-6 with their first experience of football training. The session takes place every Saturday morning at Heysham Mossgate Community Centre. Currently, parents are charged a small £2 session fee to cover the cost of pitch rental. The session is run on a voluntary non-profit basis by two parent volunteers.
A grant application was submitted to cover the cost of a high-quality folding mini goal and nine new footballs suitable for the children's age and size. Previously, the club had two goals, but one was damaged beyond repair. All of the equipment and kit used by the children had been passed down, but the footballs were in poor condition and needed replacing. We were happy to help!
