GRANT AWARDED - Lancaster District CVS
The 3R Foundation recently awarded £280 to Lancaster District CVS for marketing materials for their funding fair.
LDCVS is an infrastructure organisation that provides a range of support for grass root community organisations across the Lancaster District.
LDCVS is an infrastructure organisation that provides a range of support for grass root community organisations across the Lancaster District.
They have been supporting the sector for over 50 years and have 343 registered member organisations (although they support many more who have not as yet registered with us) and 844 people listed on their weekly information bulletin distribution list. The organisations they support range from very small community groups including sports clubs, faith groups, friends of groups etc, through to small and large registered charities, faith-based organisations and social enterprises.
The LDCVS Funding Fair event provides a unique opportunity for grass root community organisations to have the opportunity to talk directly to local, regional and national funders (including the 3R Foundation!). They can pitch their project ideas and/or discuss ways of securing funds to cover their running and resources costs in an informal setting and get to benefit from advice specific to them about how best to frame an application to a particular fund. They wanted help with funding for a banner stand and tablecloth to promote the event.
