A key objective is to encourage community involvement, particularly among children. A children's den made of willow was constructed at the bottom of the field by local residents. However, the willow has grown too tall, causing the den to lose its "secret" appearance. Plans were put in place to renovate the den and enhance its surroundings to encourage greater use. This includes improving the area where fruit trees have already been planted.
The project included the purchase of several essential items to enhance the space: Weed-suppressing mulch matting, Limestone chippings, Wooden stakes, Hops to grow up the willow den, Flowering climbing plants and other plants. Then the remaining funds were used to plant extra fruit trees, creating a welcoming environment for both children and wildlife to enjoy.
